At Story Book Ballet, students collaborate with Free Arts for Abused Children of Arizona, Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts, Head Start Arts Fundraiser, and American Voices presented by Center Dance Ensemble.

... has classes that emphasize classical ballet, with theater, dance, and advanced modern dance. Students perform with Story Book Ballet in our Grand Spring Concert at Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts.

Performances include: Swan Lake, The Sleeping Beauty, Coppelia and the Toy Shoppe, Cinderella, Peter Pan, Alice in Wonderland, Rodeo the Ballet, and more.

Story Book Ballet Company is directed by Susan Silverman.

Susan received her Bachelor's degree in liberal arts and completed a graduate program in dance and literature at the University of Arizona. Her early training and performing experience was in NYC and her collaboration with Frances Cohen began when Silverman danced in the Kadimah Dance Company. She is currently the director of Dance Theater West Classical Ballet Program and is the artistic director of Story Book Ballet Company which collaborates in performance with Free Arts of Arizona, Detour Company and Scottsdale Center for the Arts. She is the Dance Chair for the Greater Arizona Chapter of National Society of Arts and Letters and is a board member of Center Dance Ensemble.
